Who is the king of rap of all time

Soundfly is a new kind of music school for today’s musician. We create creative courses and daily articles for the curious musician. Meet the whole Soundfly Team here.

As a youngster, Mercadante took on the flute, violin, and composition at the Naples Conservatory, and frequently organized concerts with his cohorts in school. The famous opera composer Gioachino Rossini once offered his compliments to the conservatory director, saying: “your young pupil Mercadante begins where we finish.” It was Rossini’s encouragement that drove Mercadente to fall in love with writing operas, though he would also write a number of symphonies and concertos, including many for the flute, which he often premiered with himself as the soloist.

The first chord is a D major chord (D, F♯, and A), which makes the I (tonic) chord. The second chord consists of the notes C♯, E, and A, which make up an A major chord — also known as the V chord in this context because it starts on the fifth note of the D major scale. The third chord is a G major chord (D, B, and G), which is the IV chord because it starts on the fouth note of the D major scale.

These days, the concept of a mailing list may seem antiquated and, to an extent, it is. Everyone with an inbox gets bombarded with offers and unsolicited invites each and every day — most of which are promptly deleted without even a glance. Still, despite the high chance that most of your newsletters are going to be deleted, it is worthwhile to get everyone’s emails at your show for a couple of reasons:

Me too. Those “magical things” that come from our being open to and joyful about our mistakes — those are the moments that make music like Tredici Bacci’s feel like such a gift. Both intricate and broad, both ridiculous and honest, both precise and full of human breadth and skew, La Fine Del Futuro is a triumph of Hanes’ philosophy about taking the art of laughing (at himself, and with others) to be the very serious business that it is.

Okay, to really get your head around phase, we need to move beyond the on/off perspective we just outlined. Phase is quite literally a relationship of degrees. In other words, our “out of phase” sine wave has a 180° phase relationship to its mirrored counterpart. Were we to gently move our duplicate sine wave through all degree positions in the phase relationship, we’d encounter different degrees of cancellation, and therefore different degrees of amplification and attenuation — from silence to peak volume and everything in between.

When a room is perfectly soundproofed, outside noises such as footsteps, highway traffic, and air conditioners stay outside of the soundproofed area, and inside noises, like those coming from your instrument or voice, remain inside.

A narrative also plays a huge factor in the press you get as a musician. Blogs, magazines, and freelance writers/interviewers are all in the business of sharing stories. Sure, they’ll review your music, but what they really need for a successful article is some kind of hook. And if you can approach them with a well-crafted and interesting story all ready to go, you’re going to stand out from all the other artists who approach them with pleas to cover their new music.

This Beatles chiptune comp features some of the most imaginative and unexpectedly brilliant reinterpretations of everyone’s favorite songs from everyone’s favorite band.

The first is free-hand, which is to say that you record piano and vocals at the same time and even if they’re off tempo the two are synced together. It will sound more free and raw, but you’ll have a hard time syncing rhythmic elements and timed processing such as delay and reverb in a consistent manner. The second way is to record on grid, whereby you’ll record to a click-track to steady your tempo. In this case, it’s best to record one track at a time, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sing to yourself while you record your keyboard takes.

All of our mentored online courses come with six weeks of 1-on-1 professional coaching and feedback on your work. It’s like having a personal trainer, but for music! Whether you’re interested to dive deep into a production-related topic like Modern and Advanced Mix Techniques, Songwriting for Producers, or Making Music in Logic Pro X, or just to work with a Soundfly Mentor directly to achieve a musical goal specific to you, we can help you get there!

When pitching to venues, being completely honest about what you can deliver is essential for building trust and solid relationships for years to come. A promoter might ask: “What’s your draw for Kansas City?” If it’s 25, say 25, even if that means you won’t get booked. If it’s zero, say zero, but say you’re willing to boost Facebook ads in the area and send a bunch of press releases out.

When you’ve been in the music industry long enough, you get used to hearing certain terms after a while. And I’m not talking about the kind of timeless terms that have been determined by musicologists, but the ones that have been coined only recently by musicians who felt the need to do so in order to communicate better with each other.
